Important notices on our non-governmental status, liability limitations, and educational scope.

1. Non-Governmental Independence Statement

The PBAT Smart Nation Initiative is a 100% independent, non-governmental public awareness, sensitization, and advocacy campaign. Although we support national digital transition goals and promote tech-focused community growth, our organization functions entirely outside the direct control or funding of any government department, ministry, agency, or political organization. The views, statements, policies, and program structures represented on this platform belong solely to the PBAT Smart Nation Initiative steering committee and do not represent the official stance or policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria or any other municipal authority.

2. Information Accuracy & Educational Purpose

All content, course modules, policy drafts, webinars, and public guides published on this platform are provided strictly for educational, informational, and general public awareness purposes. While we make every effort to verify the accuracy, technical correctness, and usefulness of the templates and resources we distribute, we do not guarantee their completeness, reliability, or applicability to specific municipal, corporate, or personal environments. Any reliance you place on such resources is strictly at your own discretion and risk. We recommend that local coordinators and public agencies consult with qualified information security professionals before implementing new networking infrastructure or data registry schemas.

3. External Links & Third-Party Integrations

Our platform may contain links to external third-party websites, online libraries, educational portals, or corporate sponsor platforms that are not operated, controlled, or monitored by the PBAT Smart Nation Initiative. We do not inspect, endorse, warrant, or assume liability for the accuracy, security practices, privacy policies, or content of these external sites. Clicking on these links is done entirely at your own risk, and you are subject to the terms of use and privacy policies of those respective third-party platforms.

4. User Discretion & Regional Coordination Scope

The coordination of local volunteer training academies, solar micro-grid installations, and municipal public Wi-Fi hotspots is carried out by regional state chairmen, ward coordinators, and local ambassadors. The PBAT Smart Nation Initiative steering committee acts as a sensitization coordinator and facilitator. We do not exercise direct day-to-day control over local field teams, nor do we assume responsibility for local hardware maintenance, network downtime, property damage, or disputes arising from community project deployments. Local stakeholders are responsible for managing their regional hubs in accordance with our terms of service and ambassador code of conduct.

5. Indemnification Clause

By using this platform or representing our campaign as a volunteer, coordinator, or ambassador, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the PBAT Smart Nation Initiative, its directors, steering committee members, technical staff, and local coordinators from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or damages (including legal fees) arising from your violation of our terms, misuse of our platform resources, or unauthorized conduct during local outreach campaigns.
